What You Need to Know About the Zeny 6-in-1 Heat Press

A Buyer’s Guide for the Savvy Shopper

Whether you have been in the business of printing products for years, or you are just starting out - you should consider this Zeny 6-in-1 Heat Press. Commonly, the heat press is used to transfer images onto surfaces for designing, printing, and selling custom products and get both your creative and commercial juices flowing. Sounds fun, right?

The Zeny 6-in-1 Heat Press can imprint on anything from mugs and signs to t-shirts and doormats. If you can think it, you can print it! But, before you commit to the purchase there are some things you should know before you buy.

What to Look for When Buying a Heat Press

The first thing to check is the features. The Zeny 6-in-1 Heat Press boasts a Teflon surface for easy cleaning and longer printing life. It is the perfect press for a start-up businesses and graphic designers. Additionally, the Zeny 6 features a swing away transfer, which means the apparatus swings to the side rather than pressing down, like clamshell models. This function offers you several benefits (which are laid out in greater detail below).

Features to Consider

There are two important parts to every heating press which you should consider when selecting the right press for you.

The most important thing to consider is the type of press. There are three common types, each with their own specialties (clamshell, swing away, and draw). In this case, we have a swing away - sometimes referred to as a swinger.

The second most important thing to consider is the platen. The platen is the part of the press that heats to imprint the image on your product. The material used to make the plate combined with the type of press will affect how quickly the platen will heat up and how evenly it will distribute the heat across the entire surface.

The Zeny Heat Press also boasts a Teflon surface for easy cleaning as well as ensuring a longer life for your press. It is perfect for a start-up fabric business or for use in an operation that has been picking up. It also features a swing away transfer, meaning rather than pressing down like the clamshell models the apparatus swings to the side allowing you several benefits (which are laid out in greater detail below).

Pros and Cons

As with every product, there are some benefits and some sacrifices to purchasing a specific model. Below, the advantages and disadvantages of this model are laid out for your consideration.

Advantages

One of the primary concerns most customers have when it comes to investing in a new product is how much it will cost them up front. This model may be what some in the business would consider between a starter and intermediate heat press. Because of this it is on the lower end of the financial hierarchy. Your budget should always be the first thing to consider when making savvy purchasing choices for your business. Additionally, as mentioned above the swing away design provides you, the user, with several benefits such as precision and even printing. It is also safer than the clamshell option as you are not working underneath the heavy lid, but rather safely moving it to the side to allow you to work without worry.

Disadvantages

As with many other things in life, we must take the good with the bad. But, fortunately for you the bad in this case is fairly manageable. According to many customer reviews this product does not come with a manual. Naturally, this will become bothersome if you wish to program anything on this entirely digital machine. I would say this is the biggest problem customer’s faced when purchasing this product. The swing design also comes with a few drawbacks as well, including the use of more space and it often proves challenging for new users or those who don’t have much experience in printing. It will also take more time to make each print

Overall

This product is perfect match for small companies on a budget such as start-ups or independently run shops. If you are just getting started or are learning of investing a ton of money into “professional” model, I think the Zeny Heating Press 6-in-1 would be a great fit. I do really like the versatility of this machine and how much it allows you to do with a variety of surfaces. For first time users, it may be difficult to learn how to program the timers and controls and like many heat presses it should be kept in a well-ventilated area, however overall this looks like a solid purchase. The cost and features combine to make a perfect investment for a small business, though be prepared to spend some time learning the controls.
